May, 2010 - Just in time for summer enjoyment Billy Steers author and illustrator of Tractor Mac books has added two more titles to his collection.  Tractor Mac Farmers Market is a “Plow to Plate” book. May, 2010 - The Golden Age of Trucking Museum will present a “Military Vehicle Show” as part of Blue Star Museums, a program offering free admission to all active duty military personnel from Memorial Day through Labor Day 2010. 

“The Military Vehicle Show” invites all owners of military vehicles to bring them to the museum on Saturday June 5th from 10-4pm.  Museum volunteer, Rich Blomberg, from Newtown, is coordinating the event and is donating refreshments to all of those who bring their military vehicle to the show. It will be held in the museum parking lot so there is no fee to view the vehicles. Read entire press release

March, 2010 - On Sunday, April 25, 2010, from 12-4pm, The Golden Age of Trucking Museum, a non-profit organization, will be holding an “Earth Day Celebration”. This event will be held rain or shine and weather permitting will be set up outdoors.  Regular museum admission prices will apply that day to view the museum and the public is invited. There is no fee to view the exhibits that will be set up outdoors. As always, museum members will be admitted free of charge into the museum. Read entire press release

March, 2010 - Come celebrate “Spring Fling” at The Golden Age of Trucking Museum on Saturday March 20, 2010 from 11am until 2pm at 1101 Southford Road in Middlebury, Connecticut. This celebration will be fun for the entire family. The Easter Bunny will be arriving in an antique fire truck to meet the children so be sure to bring your camera. There will be face painting and crafts and activities for the children. Refreshments will also be provided. All of the day’s festivities are included in regular museum admission prices; $8. Adults, $7. Seniors, $5. Children and under 2 are free and $20.For a family. As always museum members are admitted free of charge. This event will be held rain or shine. Feburary, 2010 - The Golden Age of Trucking Museum will be holding a “Saturday Seminar” on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 1-3pm at 1101 Southford  Road in Middlebury, Connecticut. Dennis Manchester from Greensboro, North Carolina will present, “History of AutoCar”.  The museum is currently home to three pristinely restored Autocars; a 1943, 1962 and 1974 all owned by Robert Manchester of Cromwell, Connecticut. . November, 2009 - The Golden Age of Trucking Museum will be hosting an opening reception, “Who’s Driving?” Legendary Stars and Legendary Cars an exhibit of portraits on canvas by artist Chris Osborne. It will be held on November 15, 2009 from 2-4pm in The Founder’s Gallery at 1101 Southford Road in Middlebury, Conn. Ms. Osborne will be available for questions and light refreshments will be served. September, 2009 - To celebrate this colorful time of year, The Golden Age of Trucking Museum will be holding a “Harvest Festival” from 11 am until 3pm on Saturday, October 24, 2009. August, 2009 - The Golden Age of Trucking Museum’s  7th annual “Antique and Classic Truck and Car Fest”, will be held on  Sunday, September 13, 2009, 9am – 3pm, at  Quassy Park, Route 64 in Middlebury Connecticut. This year’s featured truck will be the Diamond T. DJ Seth Carly will be on hand playing music. Trophies and prizes will be awarded in many categories. June, 2009 - “Cruise Nights ‘09” will begin on Tuesday evening June 30th at The Golden Age of Trucking Museum located at 1101 Southford Road in Middlebury. The Cruise is free and will be held from 5:30 until 8pm in the museum parking lot. DJ Seth Carly will be on hand spinning records and Bob Bourassa’s Custom Catering will provide the food. March, 2009 - Great news for those families staying close to home during the upcoming “April School Vacation”, The Golden Age of Trucking Museum will be opened all week from April   13th  through April 19th . February, 2009 - On Saturday, March 7, 2009 from 11am until 3pm The Golden Age of Trucking Museum will be holding its next “Saturday Seminar” at 1101 Southford Road in Middlebury, Connecticut. The morning speaker will be Fire Chief Crawford Slason of The Westbury Fire Department and Connecticut Cellar Savers. The Fire Museum has loaned the Trucking Museum a portion of its display and Chief Slason will be discussing the history of the items on loan and will be taking questions during his presentation. Janaury, 2009 - Once again, in 2009, The Golden Age of Trucking Museum will host its “Saturday Seminars”.  They will be held on January 10, March 7, and April 4 at the museum which is located at 1101 Southford Road in Middlebury, Connecticut. There will be informative speakers, well-known authors, transportation historians, and various businesses displaying their wares.  A complimentary luncheon will also be served during the seminars which will take place from 11am until 3pm on the above dates. December, 2008 - On Sunday, December 7th    at 1:00 pm, Mrs. and Mrs. Claus will be arriving at The Golden Age of Trucking Museum via their antique truck. They will be greeting children until 3pm and will have a treat for each child. There will be ornament decorating, Christmas caroling and complimentary cocoa and cookies for all. October 10, 2008 - “The real voyage of discovery”, as French novelist Marcel Proust said, “consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.” For the past 10 years, Southington photojournalist Margaret Waage has been looking at familiar sites in Connecticut with new eyes. This fall, a collection of Waage’s stunning photographs of portions of the state many natives have never seen will be on view at the Golden Age of Trucking Museum in Middlebury, Connecticut. May 16, 2008 - Vendors are wanted for the 6th annual, “Antique and Classic Truck & Car Fest”, sponsored by The Golden Age of Trucking Museum to be held on Sunday, September 7, 2008.  The event will be held at Quassy Amusement Park on Route 64 in Middlebury with a complimentary shuttle to The Golden Age of Trucking Museum on Route 188 in Middlebury.  It will be held from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. rain or shine.
