Harvest Festival at The Golden Age of Trucking Museum
To celebrate this colorful time of year, The Golden Age of Trucking Museum will be holding a “Harvest Festival” from 11 am until 3pm on Saturday, October 24, 2009. There will be a children’s costume parade which will take place several times throughout the event. A pumpkin patch courtesy of Ploch Farms of Oxford will be set up so that children may pick their own pumpkin to take home. There will be a craft area set up to decorate the pumpkins. Face painting will be available. Apples, donuts, cider and juice will be provided. Dimples the Clown will be at the museum from 12 until 2pm. She will entertain the children with her creative balloon shapes. All of the festivities are included in the museum’s regular admission prices and museum members are always admitted free. So, plan on spending a crisp autumn day at the museum. The event is rain or shine. There is a cut-away of a Volvo that the children can get into and a Fire Truck too! Weather permitting rides in an antique vehicle will be available. For more information or for directions call the museum at 203-577-2181 or visit the web site at www.goldenagetruckmuseum.com. The museum is located at 1101 Southford Road, Exit 16 off of I84 in Middlebury, CT. The
