The Golden Age of Trucking Museum to present “Military Vehicle Show” as part of Blue Star Museums
 |
Jeff Modolo and Jessica Schmidt from PenArgyl, Pennsylvania took a moment at The Golden Age of Trucking Museum to check out Tractor Mac. “I wish I had my granddaughter with me.” said Jeff.
“It’s a beautiful place you have here.” Jeff is an over the road owner-operator who has been driving a truck for 30 years transporting building materials across the US. |
Just in time for summer enjoyment Billy Steers author and illustrator of Tractor Mac books has added two more titles to his collection. Tractor Mac Farmers Market is a “Plow to Plate” book. “Plow to Plate” is a community coalition supporting local farms, food and health and is sponsored by New Milford Hospital. In this adventure, the animals, of Stony Meadow Farm, discover all of the freshly made goods and well grown food at the local farmer’s market. There are even recipes included at the end of the book. The second title, Tractor Mac “Mactivity” Book is a book of puzzles, games, coloring and activities.
It nurtures children’s knowledge about life on the farm through 60 pages of fun! This a perfect choice for those summer car rides. Both of these titles are available at The Golden Age of Trucking Museum, 1101 Southford Road in Middlebury, Conn. All of the new Tractor Mac titles as well as the seven others in the series are available in the museum gift shop and are signed by Billy Steers. There is no admission price to visit the gift shop. Tractor Mac, the Farmall Tractor, is in the museum for museum guests to view. Hours are year round; Tuesday through Saturday 10-4 and Sunday 12-4. Admission prices are $8. for adults, $7. for seniors and $5. for children, 2 and under are free. For group rates please call ahead.
