7ht Annual Antique & Classic Truck & Car Fest
The Golden Age of Trucking Museum’s 7th annual “Antique and Classic Truck and Car Fest”, will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2009, 9am – 3pm, at Quassy Park, Route 64 in Middlebury Connecticut. This year’s featured truck will be the Diamond T. DJ Seth Carly will be on hand playing music. Trophies and prizes will be awarded in many categories. There will be a slow truck race. Registrations for the show are available at the museum and on the web-site. Those registering a vehicle before August 15th will be charged $10.00 and after the 15th will be charged $15.00. Flea market and vendor space is available at the show for $25.00. This area has become increasingly popular so be sure to register for a space early. It is a great opportunity to clear out your basement or attic, make some extra money and support the museum all at the same time. The show is free to spectators, but there is a $5.00 fee to park at Quassy. A complimentary shuttle courtesy of First Student, Inc. of Middlebury will be providing transportation to and from Quassy to the museum from 9am until 3pm. The Golden Age of Trucking Museum will be opened extended hours from 9am until 5pm the day of the show. Museum admission is $5.00 on show day with face painting, popcorn, ice cream and children’s activities. Food at the museum will be provided by Bob Bourassa Catering and will include hot dogs, hamburgers, pulled pork sandwiches, corn, chili, cookies and drinks.
