On Sunday, September 7, 2008 The Golden Age of Trucking Museum will be holding its sixth annual “Antique and Classic Truck and Car Fest” from 9am until 3pm at Lake Quassapaug Amusement Park in Middlebury, Connecticut. This year’s featured truck will be the GMC. The popular “slow race” will be held during the day. Over thirty trophies will be awarded in several classes. DJ, Seth Carly, will be live with music and entertainment. There will be a variety of vendors with hand-crafted items such as jewelry and purses and flea market vendors with bargains galore.
A complimentary shuttle bus donated by First Student Bus Inc., Middlebury will be providing free rides to and from the park to the museum throughout the show. A barbeque will be available at the truck museum. You may purchase hamburgers, hot dogs, chili, corn, chips, soda, water and cookies a la carte at reasonable prices. There will be face painting and a clown.
Visitors to the show will be given a program booklet. Anyone interested in purchasing an ad for the booklet may do so for as little as twenty dollars. There are still vendor and flea market spaces available as well, but space is limited. Trucks and cars may also register for the show in advance. For information you may call the museum at 203-577-2181 or visit the web site at www.goldenagetruckmuseum.com. The Golden Age of Trucking Museum is a non-profit organization and proceeds from the show will benefit the museum’s ongoing and future exhibits.
