“Trucks & More ”
The Golden Age of Trucking Museum presents “Trucks and More...”, watercolors by artist Howard Shoemaker. Howard W. Shoemaker was born in Floral Park, Long Island, New York in 1932. He is a graduate of Yale University with a BA and an MA in Architecture. He has been a registered architect since 1963 and is experienced in all phases of the profession. Howard has been married to Bernice for 51 years and has two sons, Bruce and Douglas and three grandchildren, Dan 20, Sarah, 13 and Lauren 6. Howard and Bernice live in Guilford, Connecticut. “Trucks and More...” is Howard’s first exclusive exhibit. In 2001, Howard began to paint watercolors. He studied under a well-known Clinton, Connecticut artist, Stan Carver. An opening reception will be held on August 13, 2006 from 2:00 until 4:00pm in the Founder’s Gallery to celebrate “Trucks and More”. Howard Shoemaker will be available to answer questions and light refreshments will be served. This exhibit will be on display at The Golden Age of Trucking Museum, 1101 Southford Road in Middlebury, Connecticut from August 1, 2006 until April 15, 2007.
